After reading through the questions and answers for this monitor, I noticed several people asking whether it supported VESA mounting, which it apparently did not at one point. The manufacturer responded to those questions and promised to add VESA support, and I’m happy to say that my unit did arrive with VESA mounting included. Starting with a few minor drawbacks, the brightness and volume control knob feels a bit less confidence-inspiring than the rest of the build, making me instinctively handle it carefully. It doesn’t feel flimsy or fragile, but I do wish it had a sturdier, more solid feel. The VESA mounting holes are quite shallow, which isn’t necessarily a flaw, but it does mean you need to be careful to use the correct screws to avoid damaging anything inside. This is likely just a limitation of how thin the display is. I also would have preferred a full-size HDMI port instead of a mini HDMI, especially for a portable monitor that may be exposed to vibration or movement. On the positive side, the single multifunction knob for brightness and volume is actually very well designed and intuitive, especially for vehicle mounting. The speakers are surprisingly loud and clearer than the ones built into my laptop, the picture quality looks good, and the touch functionality works reliably. The main body of the display feels solid and well-built overall, and despite a few small quirks, I’m very satisfied with the monitor. Finally, I would suggest that the product description clearly state “VESA 75mm” instead of using a vague wall-mount reference, as that would be much clearer for buyers

At 15.6 inches, the screen size feels just right, offering plenty of workspace while still being slim enough to fit easily into a laptop bag or backpack. The built-in speakers sound surprisingly good, and the brightness is more than sufficient once turned up. I also appreciate the rear VESA mounting option, which makes it easy to attach the monitor to a standard mount when portability isn’t needed. The magnetic cover doubles as a stand and does a decent job keeping the monitor upright, while also protecting the screen during travel. I tested the display with a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and a Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and it handled all of them very well. Connecting the PS5 was straightforward, delivering 1080p at 60Hz with HDR enabled automatically and no noticeable gameplay latency. The Xbox Series X worked just as smoothly after manually switching the resolution to 1080p, again with no lag during gaming. The Nintendo Switch connected easily via USB-C, though it required external power, and once powered it performed flawlessly. Using the Galaxy S22 Ultra was seamless as well, instantly activating Samsung DeX and allowing the touchscreen to function like a large tablet. My only minor complaint is that the included cables are a bit short, but that’s easily solved with longer ones, making this an excellent portable monitor overall, especially for travelers

First of all, I have to say that I absolutely love this monitor. I previously purchased a portable monitor from another brand, and while it was acceptable, I later discovered it was limited to only 720p, which meant no true Full HD movies, YouTube, or detailed content. This WIMAXIT monitor far exceeds that experience in every way. It supports full 1080p at 60Hz through USB-C and mini HDMI, which is a huge upgrade and immediately noticeable. Watching Blu-ray movies, streaming videos, and playing computer games in true Full HD looks fantastic and feels like using a much more expensive display. I also use this monitor regularly as an external camera monitor when recording YouTube videos, and it performs flawlessly in that role. Beyond being a touchscreen, it offers advanced color calibration options, allowing precise adjustment of red, green, and blue values from 0 to 255, just like professional monitors. This makes it suitable for video editing and color-critical work, and I’ve successfully calibrated it to match my 27-inch iMac display. It works great as a second monitor for both my iMac and Chromebook, though it’s honestly made me wish my Chromebook screen had the same calibration controls. I appreciate that everything needed to get started is included in the box, from power adapters to multiple cables, making setup easy right out of the package. My only minor complaint is the 400-nit brightness, which can be hard to see outdoors in direct sunlight, but since I use it indoors most of the time, it’s not a significant issue at all
